A Data Folds workshop has been facilitated by yours truly as part of the 'Rhetorical Machines + the Hyperlocal' event taking place at DX Arts, Seattle US. Data Folds are concerned with creative impromptu interpretations of data employing extempore folding, chasing, and hammering techniques on sheets of metal. On this particular occasion the workshop pivots on 1mm thick sheets of copper; participants experimented with different ways in which data (of all sorts) could be physicalised on this material.
